HEAD COACH: BRANDON MOYER |
Coach Brandon Moyer started his career as the Head Coach of the Stony Point Softball program in 2021. Coach Moyer has over 13 years of experience coaching baseball and a variety of other sports at various levels. For 13 years, Coach Moyer also served as a private hitting and fielding instructor in both baseball and softball.
Coach Moyer was a 4 year collegiate baseball player at Saint Joseph’s College in Rensselaer IN and a 4 year varsity starter at Watseka High School (SS, 3rd, Pitcher). Coach Moyer moved to Austin in 2016 and began his teaching career in 2018. Coach Moyer is married to this beautiful wife Nikki and together they have two children, a daughter Miyana and a son Kai. Coach Moyer thoroughly enjoys coaching and working with athletes to help them achieve their goals both in their sport and academics. |
ASSISTANT COACH: TROY WATSONCoach Troy Watson has been the JV Head Coach for the Stony Point Softball program since 2022. Coach Watson began his coaching career at the age of 19. Over his 30 plus year career, Coach Watson coached baseball, football, and softball at various levels. He has worked with USA Baseball, numerous University of Texas’ baseball Camps, and has coached in two Arizona HS State football championship games. While in Arizona Coach Watson spent some time as a Head Baseball coach, as well as a private hitting instructor. Coach Watson transitioned to softball in 2020.
Coach Watson is currently a Social Studies teacher and Assistant Football Coach here at Stony Point High School. Along with being the the Head JV Softball Coach, Coach Watson will also serve as the softball recruiting coordinator. Coach Watson's focus will be on helping Lady Tigers achieve their goals of playing softball at the next level. Coach Watson moved to Texas in 2016 from Gilbert, Arizona with his beautiful wife Beatrice. Together they have 3 daughters, Abby, Izzy, and Lily. Coach Watson is excited for the opportunity to help build the Stony Point Softball program as well as help the Stony Point community grow in the classrooms, in the neighborhoods, and on the fields. |
